Welsh Rarebit

  • 460g cheese (Grated)
  • 70g butter
  • 5 tbsp mustard powder
  • 80g stout
  • 2 egg
  • 3 tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 slices of bread

Melt the butter in the pan then add in the mustard powder. Once combined add in the stout and the Worcestershire sauce.

Slowly start adding the grated cheese. Make sure the mix is completely combined and remove from the heat and add the eggs. Mix well then pour into a lined tin (Small bread tin or a takeaway plastic container). Let the mixture set for about 10 minutes.

Toast your bread then cut out a slice of your rarebit mix. Place on top of the toast then put under the grill for around 3 minutes until golden brown.

Tip – Serve with some leeks cooked in butter and a pint of beer.
